Air Power and History

The mission of 208 Squadron is to train the combat pilots of the future.

Welcome

'Ethos is the distinctive character, spirit and attitude of the RAF which together inspire people to face danger and even death. It is underpinned by tradition, esprit de corps and a sense of belonging. It encompasses the will to contribute to the effective delivery of air power that arises from confidence in the chain of command, trust in colleagues and equipment, respect for individuality, sustainment of high professional standards and the courage to subordinate personal needs for the greater good.

To enhance the air power doctrine training of our student pilots, reinforce their sense of Service ethos and increase their knowledge of our Squadron history, a series of displays have been added to the walls of our Squadron building. This website replicates this exhibition.'
